Call for Speaker Proposals & Poster Presentations
The conference, organized by FH JOANNEUM UAS, invites the submission of papers on a wide range of topics in the area of teaching ESP in higher education with the main focus on examples from evidence-based practice. We would like to encourage you to submit conceptually or empirically focused abstracts.
Hence, we are now calling for abstracts on the theme of the conference. These could be either talks (40 minutes), workshops (80 minutes) or posters. All abstracts will be reviewed by our Proposals Committee using a double-blind review process. Those proposals accepted will be published in the conference programme.
The deadline for the submission of speaker proposals is 30 November 2015. Please send all proposals to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Note that the abstracts for the speaker proposals must not exceed 250 words in length, are to be written in English and include a short biodata piece of a maximum of 50 words. Also note that you must not be involved in more than two speaker proposal submissions. Please indicate whether you would like to give a 40-minute talk that includes a 10-minute discussion, organise an 80-minute workshop or present a poster. For further information see Guidelines-for-Speaker-Proposals_Final
Call for Papers for Conference Proceedings
We would also like to encourage you to submit a summary of your presentation for consideration for inclusion in the 8th UAS Language Instructors’ Conference Proceedings. The Conference Proceedings is a refereed publication and carries an ISBN number. Please bear in mind that your summary should be written before the conference and submitted to the Editorial Committee by 28 February 2016. All papers should contain a maximum of 2000 words and are to be written in English. Once submitted, they are read blind by two members of the Editorial Committee. Papers which exceed the word limit, promote particular institutions or products or do not reflect the theme of the conference will be excluded. Please consult Guidelines-for-Proceedings-Authors_final
